The MIS80W1 image sensor from Image Design was awarded the "Excellent Technological Innovation Product" prize for its unique integrated sensing and computing architecture. As the company's first 8-megapixel chip to combine perception with computational capabilities, it operates on a "dormant when idle, instant wake-up when needed" principle. Its standby power consumption is as low as 0.35mW (enabling up to 410 days of operation on a 10,000mAh battery), and it can perform intelligent detection in as fast as 124 milliseconds. This ensures event triggering and key information capture without misses. With built-in AI algorithms achieving 97% accuracy in human shape/face detection, it provides core support for applications such as cold-start low-power devices, areas of view (AOV) monitoring, video conferencing, and industrial inspection.

The value of the MIS80W1 extends beyond its specifications, reflecting a profound understanding of industry needs. Unlike traditional solutions that rely on external processors—often resulting in high power consumption and latency—the MIS80W1 utilizes edge-side intelligent computing to perform event filtering and rapid response locally.
