On September 19, the Enterprise Group Final of the 7th "Maker in China & Innovation Sichuan" Sichuan SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition—co-organized by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology and the Sichuan Provincial Department of Finance, with joint support from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, State Taxation Administration Sichuan Branch, People's Bank of China Chengdu Branch, and Sichuan Securities Regulatory Bureau—concluded successfully. Due to pandemic restrictions, the event adopted an online roadshow format, featuring 35 enterprise projects selected from the initial top 50. Chengdu Weiguang Integrated Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Weiguang") won the Third Prize in the enterprise group for its project "Automotive-grade CMOS Image Sensor Chip". Pooling Resources to Boost Development The competition aimed to accelerate innovation among SMEs, promote the transfer of scientific achievements, invigorate industrial economies, and deepen the integration of innovation, industrial, and capital chains. It further sought to stabilize the macroeconomic landscape while fostering new products, technologies, business models, and sectors, thereby advancing the gradient cultivation of high-potential enterprises. In the "Electronics & verse" preliminary track, Weiguang emerged as the top performer, securing its place in the finals. Wang Yong, Executive Vice President of Weiguang, stated that the contest was "both an opportunity and a rare platform for exchange," emphasizing that "the full development of electronics and the verse requires collaboration across enterprises," and that Weiguang will actively seek future partnerships.
