From July 22 to 23, 2026, the 2nd Global Medical Device Innovation Conference opened at the Nanjing Yangtze River International Conference Center. Chengdu Image Design Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Image Design") showcased its full range of medical endoscopic CMOS image sensor products and solutions at Booth B067 in the Supply Chain Hall. Song Bo, the company's Marketing Director, delivered a keynote speech titled "The Path to Domestic Localization of Medical CMOS Endoscopes" at the Endoscope Design & Manufacturing Technology Conference, and publicly debuted the company's latest medical endoscopic image sensor module, the MIM10S1, which drew significant attention from the industry.

Deeply Focusing on Medical Endoscopic Products
In his speech, Song Bo pointed out that the domestic single-use electronic endoscope market in China is currently in a critical phase of development. With the gradual advancement of volume-d procurement for related consumables in key departments such as urology and respiratory medicine, the industry chain's demand for high-performance, high-reliability domestic core components has become increasingly prominent. He stated that Image Design continues to focus on adaptability research and development tailored to medical scenarios, aiming to enhance the safety and stability of clinical diagnosis and treatment through innovations in underlying technology.

Focusing on the technical aspects, Song Bo highlighted the company's medical endoscopic module MIM10S1, developed d on a 55nm + 55nm BSI 3D Stack process. While shrinking the pixel size to 1.008μm, the stacked design of the pixel and logic significantly increases the photosensitive area per pixel, solving the challenge of insufficient sensitivity in small pixels. To enhance image quality, the company innovatively introduced a BCF (Bayer Color Filter) isolation process and DTI (Deep Trench Isolation) technology, which respectively suppress optical crosstalk between microlenses and electrical crosstalk between pixels, resulting in more accurate color reproduction and higher edge resolution. As a result, the MIM10S1 achieves a dynamic range greater than 70dB and readout noise lower than 1.4e⁻, delivering images with clear ing and clean dark areas across a depth of field ranging from 3mm to 50mm. Furthermore, within an extremely compact area of just 1.05mm × 1.05mm, Image Design has integrated a 720×720 pixel array, an on-chip ADC, and an LVDS digital transmission interface. This not only suits ultra-thin endoscopic devices such as flexible ureteroscopes and bronchoscopes, but also, by adopting a fully digital output path, completely eliminates the interference risks associated with traditional analog signals during long-distance transmission, supporting stable transmission of up to 4 meters and significantly improving the reliability and stability of the complete system.

Product Portfolio and Service: A Dual-Engine Drive
In response to varying customer needs, Song Bo outlined Image Design's graduated product portfolio and service model. Building on mass-produced products such as the MIM10S1 and MIM10C1, the company plans to successively launch between 2026 and 2028 a range of new products featuring even smaller package sizes, support for 120fps high-speed imaging, and LOFIC technology to enhance dynamic range and near-infrared sensitivity. The company can provide multi-level support covering everything from FPGA decoding IP to integrated image algorithm optimization solutions, helping customers shorten their R&D cycles and accelerate product deployment and application.
Going forward, Image Design will join hands with upstream and downstream partners along the industry chain to accelerate the domestic substitution of core components for high-end medical imaging, empower the upgrading of the medical device industry through pragmatic technological innovation, and contribute Image Design's strength to ensuring the resilience and security of China's medical industry chain and supply chain.
